Subscriptions

TipVault has a genuinely useful free tier and an optional auto-renewable TipVault Plus subscription. This page explains exactly how they work. The same information is shown in the app before you buy.

Free

The free tier is built to be useful on its own, no payment and no account:

  • Log shifts — tips, hours, jobs, sales, tip-out — in seconds.
  • Daily and weekly totals and your real hourly pay.
  • Tip-out math and the tax set-aside helper.
  • Free CSV export of every shift, so you can always get your data out.

TipVault Plus (auto-renewable subscription)

Plus unlocks the longer-term and multi-job features:

  • Month and year history and trends.
  • Multiple jobs and positions.
  • PDF income reports (tax-ready proof of income).
  • iCloud backup across your devices.

Pricing:

  • Monthly — $2.49 per month
  • Yearly — $14.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial

Prices are in US dollars. Your local price is shown in the App Store before you confirm, and may differ by region and over time.

Free trial

The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial. If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid yearly subscription at the price above. You can cancel during the trial at no charge.

Auto-renewal — how it works

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase (or when a free trial ends).
  • The subscription renews automatically at the same price each period unless you cancel.
  • Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • To cancel, turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends.

Managing or cancelling

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not inside the app. Go to Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ Subscriptions (or the App Store ▸ your account ▸ Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Plus until the end of the period you already paid for. There is no partial refund for the current period, except where the law requires one — refunds are handled by Apple.

Anything you logged with Plus stays on your device if your subscription ends — you never lose your shifts. Some Plus-only views (like month/year history and PDF export) simply become unavailable until you resubscribe.
